motional emf and faradys law of EMI

Supposing that there exists a uniform magnetic field which is changing at a constant rate and there is a closed loop which is moving with velocity v in a particular direction. If I use the concept of motional emf, it tells that the net emf must be zero but if i use Faradys law of EMI, i get a non zero emf as magnetic field is changing. Why is it that i get 2 contradicting answers of the same topic from 2 different concepts
